Peanut Butter Balls: No Bake
Having kids is an expensive life commitment. Expensive enough without having to buy sugary snacks that will send out toddlers bouncing off the walls or doped up on chemicals and preservatives.
I have started meal prepping for myself and my toddler, having a newborn makes cooking every night difficult. So what can I feed my son in between meals or out and about that isn't covered in sugar or preservatives? There is only so much fruit he will eat.
This week we have no bake peanut butter balls which are a complete hit! And so easy to make.
Ingredients
1 cup peanut butter - natural and organic peanut butter can be found at your health food store or you can use the normal stuff from the super market, just be aware of the ingredients.
1/3 cup raw honey
1/2 cup flaxseed
1/2 cup raisens
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Method
1. Combine peanut butter and honey well.
2. Add vanilla essence, flaxseed and raisens and mix well until combined.
3. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.
4. Roll dough into balls - make sure they are appropriate sizes for your toddler. Too big can make them difficult to eat and too small presents a choking hazard.
You store them in an airtight container in the fridge or freeze them for up to a month.
